Some of our products use ribbon cables, for example to connect to switches and LEDs. These cables are readily available from a number of suppliers but some of these aren't instantly recognisable as suppliers to the world of model railways. It is possible to re-use ribbon cable frm other applications. for exampel, PC fairs can sometimes be a source of cables with connectors already mounted. We do not recommend any suppliers over any others. However for convenience we have identified the relevant part numbers from two UK based suppliers and their details are included here. Ribbon cables are commonly sold in 30.5m (100') reels. All the connectors have contacxt pitches of 2.54mm (0.1") with a cable pitch of 1.27mm (0.05").
