One of the criticisms levelled at DCC is the task of configuring the decoders used in each locomotive. Even very simple decoders requires some configuration; to get the best from an advanced decoder can require several tens of registers to be calculated. However, this doesn't need to be done by hand: this site offers some "CV calculator" programs which work out the CV values for you. I intend to provide a page for all of the decoders, accessory controllers I'm using (and possibly others by request). To use these pages you'll need a browser which supports JavaScript (Netscape 4 or later, or Internet Explorer 4 or later should be fine).
